Our approach
Responsible lending
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Responsible lending isn't a compliance checkbox for us — it's the product. A loan that doesn't hold up inside your real budget isn't a loan worth writing, whatever it does for our numbers that month.
What it means in practice
- We ask real questions. Before entering a credit contract, we make reasonable inquiries about your requirements, objectives and financial situation — and we take reasonable steps to verify what you tell us, including reviewing your bank statements.
- We assess, not assume. We must not enter a credit contract that is unsuitable for you. That assessment is yours to see: you can request a copy free of charge.
- We advertise honestly. No "guaranteed approval", no pressure tactics, no burying the conditions in fine print. Speed claims are typical outcomes, never promises.
- We support you when things change. If your circumstances shift, our hardship assistance is real, reachable and free to use.
What we ask of you
Responsible lending works in both directions. Give us accurate, complete information about your income, expenses and existing commitments — honest numbers get faster, better answers, and they protect you from a loan that looks fine on paper but hurts in practice.
Something not right?
If you believe we've fallen short of these standards, tell us through our complaints process. We treat responsible-lending complaints with priority.
